Welcome to the September Raging Aging Pop-Up Symposium.
The Georgia Department of Public Health’s 55+ Driver Safety Program invites you to a brief series of pop-up presentations on Thursdays in September. Each segment is focusing on aging road users. You can pick and choose any or all segments that are of interest.
They are quick one-hour presentations. There are two tracks, one for community members and one for professionals. Stick to one or mix and match. Each are free to attend, but you will have to pre-register for each session.
This one is “Georgia Division of Aging Services: Programs for Caregivers” led by David Watkins. David Watkins is an Aging Services Coordinator specializing in Caregiver Services at the Georgia Division of Aging Services. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Gerontology from Georgia State University. David was a caregiver for many years for
his elderly aunt with Alzheimer’s disease. Inspired by his caregiver experience, he works to help older adults and their caregivers receive the services and support they need to age successfully.
