

Overview
Managing the daily self-care tasks needed to remain healthy as a diabetic can be challenging. Join this powerful six-week workshop that will empower you to take control of your health through education, support, and development of coping and problem-solving skills.
The workshop is perfect for those with Type 2 Diabetes and their caregivers. The classes are interactive, and the group will help each other solve problems they encounter in self-managing their disease. You will learn:
- How to read food labels and create healthy meal plans
- How to easily make exercise a daily habit
- Strategies for dealing with difficult emotions like depression, frustration, fear, and stress
- Techniques for improving communication with health care providers
The workshop is virtual using Zoom and will meet every Thursday at 10 am from April 7 to May 12. Registration closes March 21st. Space is limited – register at Living Well Workshop Sign-Up.
