The Emory Goizueta Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center and Cascade UMC hosts a special screening event of the documentary, In Our Right Mind: Alzheimer’s and Other Dementias’ Impact in Communities of Color. It’s written, produced and directed by journalist and lawyer, Renee Chenault Fattah. The film portrays stories about caregivers, people living with the disease, researchers and how it impacts communities of color along with what we can do to reduce the risk and how early diagnosis is the key.

 

The film starts at 10:15 am and a panel discussion to follow at 11:15 am.

 

Doors open at 9 am with breakfast served at 9:45 am. Memory screening is available from 9 am – 10 am.

 

The event is free, but registration is required.
