How-To: AmazonSmile Donation

 In Your Home

Have you purchased something on Amazon lately? If so, you may have missed an opportunity to help your favorite charity at no cost to you!

Here’s how it works: Instead of just visiting amazon.com, you’ll have to type smile.amazon.com into your internet browser. Everything about the site is the same, except that for any purchase you make, Amazon will donate a small portion of the purchase price to your favorite charity.

Which charity should I choose?

You should choose a charity focused on issues you care about! There are over one million organizations that partner with AmazonSmile.

Passionate about helping animals? You could choose the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), Adopt A Rescued Friend Inc, After the Races, or one of 210 other charities related to pets and animals. Want to support veterans? Consider the 40+ options, including the American Heroes Motorcycle Association and Wounded Warriors.

There’s a charity for everyone! Over the last few years, I’ve elected for Amazon to donate to Mennonite Disaster Service, which offers free disaster relief throughout the United States, while my coworker has been donating to the Nature Conservancy.
